An Vandermeulen is the artistic director of Globe Aroma, a cultural centre in Brussels that provides support for refugees and asylum seekers through artistic creation, dialogue, collaborative practices and networking. Vandermeulen is also involved in RESHAPE, a research and development project made up of European and South Mediterranean art organisations, which aims to develop alternatives to the European artistic ecosystem and to create innovative models in the cultural industry.
